About Winsted

Situated in the northern part of the state not far from the border with Massachusetts, Winsted, Connecticut, is a town of just over 7,000 that is located within the city of Winchester. Three public elementary schools and a middle school serve the area. High-school age students all attend the technically private Gilbert School that serves all the area's students through an endowment.
