Woodstock, Connecticut, is a town of just over 7,000 located in the northeastern part of the state. Though the town is small in population, it is large in area, and is the second largest town in the state in terms of acreage and is about two or three times larger than the average town in the state. The town is part of the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley Natural Heritage Corridor and it has been called "the Last Green Valley" in the Boston-to-Washington corridor because of the large amount of green space here. Residents searching for a house for rent or an apartment for rent will also find the community has a very strong agricultural base, with between 39 and 46 active farms. Thirteen operating dairy farms operate here, more than in anywhere else in Connecticut.
Residents here will also find plenty to do here in Woodstock as well. The Woodstock Fair is sponsored by town's agricultural society and has been ongoing since 1860. Camp Nahaco Park and The Palmer Arboretum are popular attractions as well, as is Roseland Park, which has more than 60 acres of land. Students here attend a single elementary, middle and high school. The high school is Woodstock Academy , a New England academy that is directly administered by the state. There are many community events throughout the year for those seeking a house for rent or an apartment for rent to enjoy, including a Memorial Day parade, a 4th of July jamboree, an arts and crafts festival and more. This town draws heavily on its existence as a major agricultural community, which it celebrates in an annual Celebrating Agriculture event
