About Delaware

The second smallest state in area and the seventh most densely populated, Delaware is a known as the "first state" for being the first to sign the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution. Surrounded by water on two sides and land on two sides, Delaware is a diverse state with lots of opportunities for viewing the Ocean and enjoying the recreation that it makes available to the coastline here. As the entire state is located on a level plain, there are few rises of land here and the highest point does not reach 450 feet above sea level.
