Nestles in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the northwest region of the state, Dalton, Georgia, is a town of over 27,000 located in one of the northernmost counties in the state right on the edge of the Georgia/Tennessee border. The town is popularly know for its abundance of floor-covering manufacturers, and is called the "Carpet Capital of the World."
