About Cedar Lake
Located on the 794-acre lake from which it derives its name in the northwest part of the state, Cedar Lake, Indiana, is home to nearly 10,000 residents and is about 25 miles to the south of Lake Michigan and in what locals call the “region,” about 45 miles southeast of Chicago. Lemon Lake County Park and South Shore Country Club can be found in Cedar Lake, and Pheasant Valley Country Club is just east of the city. Two school corps serve the town: Hanover Community School Corporation, which includes two elementary schools and a junior/senior high; and Crown Point School Corporation’s elementary school.
