The county seat of Kosciusko County, Warsaw, Indiana, is home to more than 12,000 residents in the northern plains of the state that takes its name from the Polish capital. Kosciusko County has 103 lakes, including three within Warsaw: Big Chapman, Pike and Winona lakes, popular destinations for residents here. The town is known as the "Orthopedic Manufacturing Capital of the World," because the first orthopedic devices were made here, and DePuy Manufacturing Company, Zimmer, Inc. and Biomet have all been founded in Warsaw to support the industry. Residents in search of a house for rent or an apartment for rent will also find such companies as Da-Lite, which makes commercial and home theater projection screens, Little Crow Foods, manufacturer of CoCo Wheats cereal, R.R. Donnelly & Sons, a magazine printing press, and Dalton Foundry, an iron casting foundry.
Rozella Ford Golf Club, Little Big Horn Golf Club, Raccoon Run Golf Course and Stonehenge Golf Club give golfers a couple options in town, and The Wagon Wheel Playhouse is a theater that hosts concerts and plays throughout the year. Grace College Theological Seminary school is found here and draws several hundred students, and Kosciusko Community Hospital provides medical services and a number of employment opportunities for those seeking a house for rent or an apartment for rent. Ferrin's Fruit Winery is a great place to relax and take in on a summer day. Five elementary schools, two middle schools and Warsaw Community High School make up the public schools and about a half-dozen private religious schools provides alternative schooling options.
