Bladensburg is a relatively small community found in the southwestern portion of the state of Maryland. Bladensburg has a population of approximately seven thousand six hundred residents, and is considered a part of Prince George’s County. Bladensburg was founded in the eighteenth century under the name of Garrison’s Landing. Bladensburg was renamed after governor of Maryland Thomas Bladen.
