About 13,600 people live in the city of New Ulm, Minnesota. The county seat of Brown County, New Ulm is located in the south-central part of Minnesota. This beautiful area is situated at the confluence of two rivers: The Cottonwood and the Minnesota River. A somewhat rural area, New Ulm is surrounded by lakes and wide open spaces. Travel about 100 miles to the northeast, and you’ll find yourself in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
