About Roswell

The most notorious town in the state, Roswell, New Mexico, was made famous in 1947 for what was known as the Roswell UFO incident, for a crash that took plus several miles outside of the city. Today the city is home to more than 45,000 residents in the eastern part of the state. It is the county seat of Chaves County and the fifth-largest city in the state.
