About Boone

Situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Boone is a small city of 13,000 in Watauga County in northwestern North Carolina. Named for pioneer Daniel Boone, this city is the home of Appalachian State University and a campus of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute.
