Siler City is a charming town located in Chatham County of central North Carolina, and it has a population of about 8,000 residents. The town is most well known as being the home of the retired actor Frances Bavier, who played the role of Aunt Bee on The Andy Griffith Show. The town, which was officially chartered in 1887, promotes a friendly population, thriving business environment, and excellent quality of life. Siler City was first settled during the 1800’s as a railroad / farming community, and to this day it retains its small town atmosphere and lush landscapes.
