About West Fargo

A suburb of Fargo, the city of West Fargo, North Dakota, lies just five miles west of the city and is home to about 15,000 residents, just off I-94. It is one of the fastest growing cities in North Dakota, and between 1980-90, the town experienced tremendous growth, expanding its population by nearly 25%. The town is home to a number of parks and to the West Acres Shopping Center. It began in 1917, when Equity Cooperative Packing Company began building a plant it called West Fargo.
