Just off the I-90, along Lake Erie, Lorain serves as a suburb for the greater Cleveland area. Just forty minutes outside of the downtown area, the city of Lorain hosts almost 70,000 residents at the mouth of the Black River. Despite recent closures in local factories, the Lorain Works Steel Mill, operating since 1895, employs thousands of residents.
