Named for a city in Italy, Ravenna was originally part of the Connecticut Western Reserve and has since grown to a population of almost 12,000 Ohioans. Just 21 miles and a half an hour drive east of Akron along the I-76, the city is also placed at the junction of 4 distinct railroads that provide residents of a Ravenna apartment or house rental with excellent connections into Akron. Most of Ravenna’s residents choose to commute into Akron for work. The Ravenna Ordinance Plant is also located in the city. West Branch State Park is just one of many parks available to residents of a Ravenna home or apartment for rent. Many residents look forward to the Marlene Watt Memorial 5k Run/Walk as well as a variety of other recreational activities available in the local parks. Additionally, students in Ravenna are served by the Ravenna School District that includes over 8 campuses for students K-12.
