About Seaside

Perched along the Pacific Ocean in the northwestern-most portion of Oregon, the city of Seaside is located 78 miles along Route 26 from Portland. Home to 6,000 residents, the town was first founded in 1806 when a group of men from the Lewis and Clark Expedition built a salt-making cairn. The Seaside Municipal Airport provides general aviation traffic. A local bus system provides inner-city transportation free of charge.
