Pennsylvania Houses, Condos & Apartments for Rent

About Pennsylvania

This mid-Atlantic state is known as the Quaker State, after its namesake, William Penn. One of the original 13 colonies, Pennsylvania has a lot of rich history and its largest city, Philadelphia, was the original capital for the U.S., as it was at one time larger than both Boston and New York City. Pennsylvania house rentals and apartment rentals can be found throughout the state, from the smallest towns and rural areas to the largest cities, including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Erie, Reading, and Scranton. Apartments and house rentals in these cities and others offer great access to cultural attractions, ranging from art museums, historical sites, parks, sporting events, music festivals, and so much more. Pennsylvania is also known for great snack and convenience foods, as the cheesesteaks, pierogies, soft pretzels, and Tastykakes are popular here.

Pennsylvania is an east coast state without must coastline, but it definitely has a lot of eastern personality and culture. Its largest city is situated halfway between Baltimore and New York City, so the Atlantic shoreline and other major east coast cities aren't far out of reach if you're in the eastern part of the state. If your Pennsylvania house for rent or apartment for rent is in the central or western portions of the state, then the Midwest may show up more in the culture and economy of your city or town. With beautiful countrysides and a diagonal stretch of the Appalachian Mountains thought the state, Pennsylvania has a lot to offer inside and outside of its prominent cities.
