About Warren

Warren is known as the smallest designated town in the smallest county in the smallest state in the nation. Home to 11,000 residents on the eastern side of Rhode Island, Warren rubs against the border with Massachusetts and is a mere 12 miles southeast of Providence. Originally created as a trading post for Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts, Warren was developed starting in 1636 with the flight of Roger Williams to Rhode Island. Warren was also the original home of Brown University.
