Offset from the I-20 by a mile or 2, Lexington is only a 20-minute drive from downtown Columbia, 14 miles east. Lake Murray, a 50,000-acre lake created by the nation's largest earthen dam, is within a few miles of Lexington and offers a popular recreational area for its boating opportunities and 700 miles of exposed shoreline.
