The town of Pecos is located in the western portion of the Lone Star State. Pecos is considered a part of Reeves County, Texas, and has a population of approximately nine thousand five hundred residents. It is the Texas center for ranching, and was the site of the world’s first rodeo, held in the year eighteen eighty three.
