About Payson

Home to more than 12,000 residents and right off I-15 near the southern tip of Utah Lake in the central region of the state, Payson, Utah, lies about 20 miles south of Provo and 60 miles south of Salt Lake City in the Provo–Orem Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was first settled by Latter-day Saints in 1850, and is now part of Utah County.
