Just west of I-15 about 20 miles due south of Salt Lake City and about 20 miles south of the bottom edge of Great Salt Lake, the city of Riverton, Utah, is home to 25,000 and is a popular suburb of the capital city. It was first settled in the mid-1850's and has boomed in population since then.
