Graham is a charming community situated in Pierce County and has a population of about 9,000 residents. In the late 1880’s, Graham contained a large logging industry. All of the mail for the loggers and their families used to be delivered to a tree stump in front of the home of Mr. Graham. Mr. Graham was the foreman of the North coast timber Company. Upon the establishment of the area’s first post office in 1903, the community was named after him. Due to the low cost of land and the community’s close proximity to Tacoma, the area has undergone major development in the past years.
Residents living in a home or apartment for rent can find many historic attractions such as the Fort Nisqually Historic Site and Meeker Mansion. This beautiful community also contains many parks within the area that offer great activities such as hiking, climbing, biking, and camping. The city also hosts the Wiener Tales Wiener Dog Races and the Pierce County Fair is also located in the area.
