Kennewick is located in Benton county, southeastern Washington. This city is situated along the Columbia River, opposite Pasco and immediately southeast of Richland. The city was developed in 1892 by the Northern Pacific Irrigation Company. The city is mostly an agricultural area that produces alfalfa, corn, beans, sugar, beets, grapes, and cherries.
