Mill Creek is located in Snohomish County, Washington, approximately 20mi. north of Seattle. The city has a population of about 12,000. Mill Creek is a planned community based around a golf course and country club. Based on per capita income, Mill Creek is one of the more affluent communities in state of Washington. Mill creek was officially incorporated in 1893, and the city has rapidly grown to include many families and jobs as well as a mix-use, city-sponsored facility, called Mill Creek Town Center. Before the turn of the twenty first century Mill Creek was mostly a wooded area, but recent apartment complexes have developed along the Bothell-Everett Highway. Also located in the city is a famous water well, where residents can get fresh spring water for free.
Residents living in the home or apartment for rent can also find easy access to the surrounding municipalities of Lynnwood, Bothell, Woodinville, Snohomish, Everett, and Mukilteo. The largest event in Mill Creek by far is the Mill Creek Festival and Street Fair, which has taken place every year for the past eight years. Through this festival, the community works together in order to enhance the identity of their own city. In this festival there are arts and crafts, food, commercial booths, live entertainment, community performances, a kids’ corner, Pets Plaza, and a classic car show.
