About Woodinville

Woodinville is a beautiful city located in King County, with a population of over 9,000 residents. The city is especially known for its great winery and brewing grounds, waterfront parks on the Sammamish River, and densely wooded residential areas. The first people to settle in the area where Woodinville is currently located were the native Sammamish people. Later, in 1871, Ira Woodin and his wife Susan moved from Seattle and built a cabin further up the Sammamish River. There, they logged timber and farmed cattle, and eventually, a town was built up around the cabin, which became the town’s first school and Post Office. Like other cities in the vicinity, Woodinville began as a logging community, became a farming center at the beginning of the 20th century, and then developed into a suburb of Seattle, which it remains as today. Woodinville was officially incorporated in 1993.

The city of Woodinville actually consists of eleven, geographically defined neighborhoods that are all great places to live in. The city was also laid out so that it includes separate residential, business, retail, and tourists districts. People can find excellent dining and shopping experiences in the city of Woodinville.
