With a bustling population of about 29,000 residents, the city of Oak Creek is located in Milwaukee County. The city is also located along the western shore of Lake Michigan and about 85 miles from Chicago. The city was incorporated in 1955, and is protected from annexation by the neighboring city of Milwaukee by law.
