The first & last month’s rent and a security deposit are required. The rent is $1850 per month, plus utilities. There is no city water on Big Torch and the house is serviced by a 17,000 gallon cistern. Water conservation must be practiced and the house is not suitable for a large family. Water can be purchased and delivered by the Aqueduct Authority should you run out. If interested call Mike @ 305-872-4289. Big Torch Key is a very special area. It is located off of US 1 at MM 28. It is two miles off the highway via Middle Torch Key. It stretches another six miles beyond Middle Torch Key and the only development on the island is at the canal two miles in. This is a very quiet neighborhood and there is little traffic or road noise. The island is mostly hardwood hammock and mangrove wet lands. It is part of both the Key Deer and Great White Heron National Wildlife Refuges. Walking, jogging or bicycling along its roads is a joy in this pristine environment. This is a bird watcher’s heaven. Water sports opportunities abound with boating access from the canal to Niles channel. The open ocean is two miles south and to the north is access to all of the back country islands. Fishing, kayaking, sailing, snorkeling and diving are only minutes from your door.
