The House at Cedar Springs is a single story farm house on five pastoral acres in Chapel Hill, NC. It's just a few minutes drive from UNC's main campus and hospitals; plus downtown shopping, resturants and entertainment.
Duke, Durham and RTP are an easy commute.
The elementary and middle schools are a short walk away. The bus stop for Chapel Hill High is just at the end of the street.
This is a close-knit community of professionals with families. That said, each house is on five or more acres and far enough apart to ensure your privacy.
Most of the five acres here is fenced for dogs and kids. A pasture and barn can accommodate a horse. There is a private walk-run-equestrian trail encircling this friendly neighborhood.
The inside of the house is eclectic and comfortable rather than ostentatious. It's a farm house that hasn't lost its roots. Part of the structure was built in the 1860s and subsequently renovated and added on to in the 1990s.
The house has a fireplace and hardwood floors in the living room, a bright sun room, a private office and a sunny breakfast room off the kitchen.
Lots of storage all around.
It's not heaven, but it does share the same zip code.
(Note: a separate "owner's apartment" is attached but not available at this time.)
