A mid-sized town of over 21,000, Forest Park, Georgia is located in the north-central area of the state in northern Clayton County, about nine miles south of Atlanta, making it a popular suburban community for many who commute for work to Atlanta. Fort Gillem military reservation is found nearby, encompassing almost 1,500 acres and attracting military personnel from around the country.
