About Speedway
A suburb of Indianapolis in Marion County, Speedway, Indiana, is home to nearly 13,000 residents and lies just minutes from the capital. The town's most popular feature is also the most recognizable site in the state: the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home to the world-famous Indy 500, Nascar's Alltell 400 at the Brickyard and a number of other races throughout the year. A large Allison Transmission plant lies near the edge of town and is a large employer here.
