Somersworth is a medium sized community found in the southeastern portion of the state of New Hampshire. Somersworth has a population of approximately eleven thousand five hundred residents, and is considered a part of Strafford County. Somersworth was originally known as Sligo, was originally settled before the turn of the eighteenth century, and was officially incorporated in the year seventeen fifty four as a town and in eighteen ninety three as a city.
