A town that began as a railroad camp in the 1880s, Grants, New Mexico, is named after the three Canadian brothers who began building a section of the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad through that region. The town is conveniently situated right off I-40, in the western part of the state, about 80 miles west of Albuquerque. It is home to around 9,000 residents and is in Cibola County.
