A town of about 6,000 in the south-central part of the state, Bath, New York, lies just off Interstate 86 in the Finger Lakes region, just southwest of Keuka Lake’s southernmost shores. Metal and metal products, health care and education are the largest industries for employment here, with the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital a major employer. Bath is located in Steuben County, which those searching for a house for rent or an apartment for rent may recognize as the home of the Steuben County Fair, the oldest continuously held fair in the country. The town is home to the Bath Country Club and Glenn H. Curtiss Museum. The museum holds a number of displays formerly belonging to aviator and inventor Glen Curtiss, things like airplanes, motorcycles and bikes. The town is also home to the Elm Cottage Museum at the Magee House and the Bath VA Center Historical Museum, ensuring those in search of a house for rent or an apartment for rent who enjoy learning about the area’s history will be well informed. Mossy Bank Park provides open space in town, and an elementary, intermediary and Haverling Junior and Senior High School make up the public school system.
