About Williston Park
Williston Park is a beautiful incorporated village in Nassau County and has a population of about 8,000 residents. The village is located in the Town of North Hempstead. Williston Park was founded in 1926 by William Chatlos, who was a New York City developer who purchased 195 acres of land. Chatlos bought the land because he wanted to create an affordable, planned community for New York City residents who want to move to suburbs. The village was named for Samuel Willis, a settler who came to the area in the late 17th century. The Village of Williston Park is mainly a residential area, but it is still home to two main business districts that is composed of over 300 retail shops, professional offices, and other businesses. Williston Park also offers its residents all of the conveniences and services that major cities offer, including a public library and outdoor and recreational facilities. The Village of Williston Park is a beautiful community that is a great place for anyone to live in.
