About Avon
A town within Lorain County, Avon has a population of just under 17,000 people. With an increase of approximately 5,000 citizens within a 5-year span, Avon is arguably one of the fastest growing cities in Ohio, with many home to rent. Conveniently, Interstate Highway 90 goes right through this city. Home to the creators of duct tape, Avon holds an annual weekend-long event in its honor: the Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival. Other events, especially popular over the summer, include a T-ball team and magic camp for youngsters, all which are programs under the organization of the city.
