Half an hour outside of downtown Cleveland, the city of Medina welcomes over 6,000 residents. Home to NBA player Lebron James, the city serves as a quiet escape from the business of the city. As a suburb of the greater Cleveland area, most of Hinckley’s residents commute into the city for work although a limited amount of job options are available right in the city. Although there are a few strip malls and large shopping outlets, the majority of retailers are located farther in to the metropolitan area. As part of the Cleveland MetroPark system, the Hinckley Reservation allows residents the chance to explore trails, canoe lakes, and camp in the wilderness. Residents of a Hinckley house or apartment for rent have access to both the Kobak Fields Baseball Complex and Rising Valley Park for recreational use throughout the year. A network of five schools provides Hinckley’s youth with K-12 educations with a diverse range of colleges and universities a few minutes into Cleveland.
