Just off of the I-20, Camden is 35 miles northeast of Columbia, South Carolina. Part of Kershaw County, Camden is home to just over 6,000 residents who enjoy a rich history, friendly neighbors, and quiet suburban living. Camden is the oldest inland city in South Carolina and was created in 1730 as part of a plan ordered by King George II. In 1780, the town was a British stronghold and site of their main supply post.
