Luling is a relatively small community found in the southern region of the state of Texas. Luling has a population of approximately five thousand one hundred residents, and is considered a part of both Caldwell County and Guadalupe County. Luling was originally founded in the year eighteen seventy four, and began to grow rapidly following the discovery of oil.
