The town of Wytheville was named after George Wythe, who was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and also known as “the father of American Jurisprudence.” Also known as “The Hub of Southwest Virginia” or “The Crossroads of the Blue Ridge,” Wytheville is nestled within the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
