About Oak Hill

Located in the beautiful Fayette County, the city of Oak Hill has a population with over 7,000 residents, even though much of the populated area surrounding the city is also considered part of Oak Hill. The community was incorporated in 1905, and takes its name from the oak tree that towered over the community’s first post office, which was located at Hill Top.
